CORE TRAINING FOR FIELD PEACE TEAMS
CIVILIAN PEACEKEEPING & DEPLOYMENT IN CONFLICT SITUATIONS

2 - 30 August 2007, CLUJ-NAPOCA, ROMANIA

A highly professionalized training program designed for applicants interested
in peace team work in conflict zones, with background in international or
cross-cultural work, human rights, and nonviolent approaches to conflict
transformation.

The training will cover teamwork, communication skills, accompaniment
principles, observation and monitoring skills, nonviolence, the work of NP
and its role in the field, conflict analysis, gender and cross-cultural dynamics,
power and privilege issues relevant to NP's work, security concerns, trauma
and stress management, first aid and practical simulation exercises.
