European Group on Training

The European Group on Training (EGT) has been reconducted by the European Commission. Very soon, we will be able to know the content of the project for the next 18 months.
The project aims at enhancing the training capacity in Europe for deployment of civilians in the area of crisis management (the European civilian aspect of crisis management).
We expect that the new phase, led by the Peaceworkers programme of International Alert, will contribute to the consolidation and publication of standards, and enhanced cooperation with other institutions such as the OECD, the World Bank, the African Union, and the UN for instance.
